Knit Basics for Product Development
 

Course description:

Compact basic knowledge is imparted to enable participants to recognise and distinguish between yarns and structures. This is particularly important basic knowledge for material purchasing and sourcing as the foundation of the development process in order to be able to control quality and, in particular, costs. The facts are substantiated by current examples from the market.

  • Yarn as the basis for product development
  • Structures, colours and their application
  • Machine knitting: Focus on flat and circular knitting
  • Functional knitwear using the example of sportswear, socks and trainers
  • It's Magic: Graphene – a performance material?
  • It's Magic: dyeing processes, dyes at a glance
  • It's Magic: washes – garment dye vs. garment wash
